The details
24 .cube LUTs that are clearly different from each other and named for what they do, with a contact sheet so you can pick a look before you install anything.
What makes this kit different
- Every file is named for its result: LOOK_Teal-Shadow_100.cube, not LUT_17.cube.
- A contact sheet PDF shows every LUT on the same three frames, with its file name underneath.
- Every creative look comes at full strength (_100) and half strength (_50).
- A separate stream-safe set for webcams: small contrast change, no highlight clipping.
- The files are in your download. No links to follow, no account to create.
What you get
- 3 log to Rec.709 conversion LUTs (65-point): Sony S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine, Apple Log / Rec.2020, Panasonic V-Log / V-Gamut
- 8 creative looks, each at _100 and _50 (16 files, 33-point): Clean Contrast, Warm Daylight, Cool Urban, Teal Shadow, Soft Matte, Golden Hour, Muted Earth, Mono Rich
- 5 stream-safe looks (33-point): Clean, Warm, Cool, Soft, Mono
- Contact-Sheet.pdf
- Compatibility.pdf and a Start Here guide
How to use
- Download LUT-Kit.zip and Start-Here.pdf. Unzip the ZIP.
- Open the install page for your editor.
- Log footage: apply the matching conversion LUT first, then a look. Normal footage: apply a look directly.
Please note
- The three log conversions were verified numerically against the published specification of each log curve and colour gamut. They were not tested on real camera footage. Each conversion is this kit's own rendering (published log curve, a matrix derived from the published primaries, then this kit's tone curve); it is not a copy of any manufacturer's LUT.
- The Apple Log conversion uses the formula and constants in the Academy (ACES) Apple Log transform. Apple's own white paper could not be consulted, so no Apple-published reference values were checked.
- Output is standard dynamic range Rec.709. No HDR output.
- These are standard .cube files. Standard .cube files also load in other editors; those are untested.
- A LUT cannot fix a badly exposed clip. Set exposure and white balance first.
- Because this is a digital file, it cannot be returned. Message me if anything does not load and I will help.
